Placements

Luisa (pictured at right) had customer service experience, but she wanted to transfer her skills to a bank teller position. She landed her target job by networking with the general manager of Citizens Bank!

Mina got a job as Housekeeper at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

Aaron got a job as a Customer Service Associate at Novitex! He said he got discouraged because he wasn’t receiving any calls, but he kept putting out those job applications and then interviews started happening. Aaron said he found the right job for him.

Delthia (pictured at right) stopped by after her overnight shift to tell us about her new position as a Receptionist Officer for Securitas. “I really like my job. It’s an overnight shift and it’s fun.” Delthia shared words of encouragement with job-seekers: “If you put in 110%, they will give you 110%. Whatever you do, don’t give up.”

Deandra is an Access Support Specialist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Marva was happy to share that she is now an Environmental Services Assistant for Boston Children’s Hospital. “It’s great. I really enjoy my job,” she said. As for the job-search process: “Lift your head high. Listen to the staff and never give up,” she said.

Retention

Michael (pictured at right) has worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens for more than two years! Michael encourages participants in the program to stick with Career Collaborative. “The staff will take you where you want to go,” he said.
