September/October 2010 Highlights

As a newly graduated medical assistant from Bunker Hill Community College, CI Ci has defied the odds to land part-time employment working for Dr. John Zhang. With Career Collaborative's help, she plans to continue her search for a full-time position and is interviewing at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Quincy.

Emma succeeded in getting her target job as an Account Representative with Arbour Health System where she will be earning over $32,000 per year.

Gary is employed in his target job as a Youth Coordinator for Newton Community Service Center. He experienced some barriers to employment when targeting that position, but with the right attitude and lots of determination, he convinced his interviewers he'd be a great fit for the job!

Nilda accepted a temp-to-perm Animal Technician job with MIT. So far it's going great

When O’Neil started at Career Collaborative he aspired to be in law enforcement. He began the 4-week Job-Search workshop with no experience as a Security Officer, but was recently offered that very job with Quincy Medical Center. O'Neil couldn't be happier!

Congratulations to Carmelle who passed her Certified Nursing Assistant MA Licensure last Monday and was offered a full-time job the same week with East Point Nursing Home.

Christabelle started a part time job at Burlington Coat Factory, but will continue to work with Career Collaborative while she searches for her target job to be a medical assistant.

Congratulations to all!
